Antonio Carpenè laid the foundation stone for this company in 1868.
As a lover of champagne, he was convinced that he could produce a similar drink from the local Prosecco grape. So he founded the Carpenè-Malvolti winery with his friend Malvolti. Through the "Methodo classico" they succeeded in producing a sparkling wine which is now known far beyond the borders of the country.
In 1972 Etile Carpenè joined the company and in 1986 he took over the operational management, which he still presides over today.
