South of the world-famous holiday resorts of Sardinia, lies the Atha Ruja winery, about 6 km in the hinterland of Dorgali. It was founded by the married couple Pietro Pittalis and Annita Salis in the 90s. The meticulousness and passion Pietro puts into the winery, you will only notice when you have experienced him on site. In the vineyards, mainly the Cannonau variety was cultivated, as well as in small parts Carignano and Muristellu. On a trial basis, small quantities of the Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Syrah varieties were also planted. But the visiting card is the Cannonau grape, the most important grape variety in Sardinia. The oenological advisor is Marco Bernabei, son of the famous Franco Bernabei, who is also responsible for the extremely pure and fresh style of the wine.
