Perfect balance

Mineral, powerful, edgy, beautiful, that's how the wines of Cantina Mesa come. Perfetto - the balance between modernity and tradition. One is open to new things and knows how to appreciate the old. This prudence is cultivated from the vineyard to the bottle. Its modern design attracts the eye, but its inner values convince even connoisseurs. The whole appearance of Cantina Mesa speaks a new and unusual language, but it is in harmony with the roots of the island and its exceptionality. Do as we do: discover now!

The cellar

Even if the Sardinian island seems wild and rustic to many visitors at first glance, Cantina Mesa is one of the most modern wineries in the world. 5000 square meters, three floors. Gravity instead of pumping. Steel tanks instead of over-wooding. The grapes are harvested by hand in small boxes, even cooled when it is too hot (as this year), then destemmed and lightly crushed on the top level. The must flows as if by itself into the fermentation tanks on the first floor, where it goes through the various steps of vinification. For the final step, aging, the wine travels to the lowest, hidden areas of the cellar, a few meters below ground. There you can see a few French oak barrels, cement barrels or stainless steel tanks. There is nothing like preserving the terroir and its freshness.

The name

Mesa. Naturalmente the name is Sardinian and it stands for the word table, even better for tavolata. So. imagine a richly set table, delicious food, around it sit your best friends, family, and also a few people you don't even know. No matter. You eat and enjoy the time together. The wines you have in your glass, from Cantina Mesa, are a declaration of love for the beauty and fertility of Sardinia.
