The nose is pampered by the delicate scent of red berries and cherries. The subtle spicy notes indicate a restrained use of new wood. On the palate the wine presents itself amazingly mature, with ripe, round tannins. The barrique notes are softly underlaid and literally carry the fruit aroma of the wine. The acidity is adapted and has a balancing effect, the alcohol is very well integrated.

Ever since the Komminoth family pressed their first own wine in Maienfeld in 1980, the enthusiasm for the traditional Pinot Noir and for ever new wine has grown from year to year. The tendency towards ever improving quality is a matter of course for them, and Komminoth is now one of the best addresses in the Bündner Herrschaft.
Today about 3.7 hectares of vines are cultivated. The total area is spread over 15 parcels in and around Maienfeld and is situated in the best locations for top wines.
