Untreated lemons are washed and peeled by hand at the highest stages of ripeness. The peels are soaked in alcohol for 30 days.
The Distilleria Bottega was founded in 1977 by Aldo Bottega, a master distiller with over 30 years of experience in the preparation of grappa. Since his death in 1983, his son Sandro, together with his siblings Barbara and Stefano, has been responsible for the management.
In 1992 the brand 'Il Vino dei Poeti' was launched. This enabled the opening up of new markets. Only three years later, the successful revival of Fragolino, a drink with a long tradition, was achieved.
Today the Distilleria Bottega is known for its fine and noble products in beautiful presentation. The mouth-blown glass bottles were specially designed by Sandra Bottega and are now offered under the name 'Art in Grappa'.
