Ruby red with violet reflections; in the nose aromas of red fruits, plums and berries with a spicy note (humus and undergrowth); on the palate strong with pronounced tannins; the finish is long, aromatic and persistent.
The Villa Loggio estate is situated in the southern part of the municipality of Cortona, on the edge of a gentle range of hills that extends over the Valdichiana valley. It is a perfect location for wine growing: the vineyards capture the sunlight from early morning to late evening, summer nights are cool and a mild breeze sweeps through the vineyards.
When we discovered Villa Loggio, we were thrilled that they were one of the few wineries with mature wines on the market. They allow the wines the time they need to develop the full spectrum of aromas.
