Intense ruby red; typical Syrah notes of ripe plums, flowers and black pepper. Shows a sweet ripeness of the fruit on the palate, which again reminds of plums. Slightly mineral with pleasantly caressing tannins. A Syrah marked by the terroir, which is allowed to ripen a little more.

A super combination to strong and spicy dishes.
Vinification
Fermentation in steel tanks for about 15 to 20 days, at temperatures not exceeding 26°C. Aging in new barriques for 24 months.

COLLINE DI SOPRA
The modern organic winery COLLINE DI SOPRA was founded in autumn 2006 and taken over in 2015 by the agronomist ETH Ing. Ulrich Ziegler. It has four excellent terroirs with a total area of 450 ha. COLLINE DI SOPRA today consists of 20 hectares of productive vineyards and of 68 hectares of newly planted vineyards (or in preparation) with Costa Toscana typical grape varieties, including white grape varieties. Our sites: COLLINE DI SOPRA is located 10 km from the sea and 15 km from Bolgheri, in the sunny and well ventilated valley of the Cecina river, in Montescudaio. (Terroir 20 ha / Vineyard 11 ha). MONTE PETRUZZI is located only 6 km from the sea, in a sunny and clearly ventilated north-west exposure. (Terroir 50 ha / Vineyard 10 ha). IL PARATINO is located only a few kilometers from the sea in a sunny south exposure and protected by the hills to the north. In summer there is a fresh sea breeze. (Terroir 20 ha / Vineyard 12 ha). POGGIO GAGLIARDO is located a few kilometers from the sea in a very favorable climatic position - sunny, with sea breezes and protected to the north by hills and woods. (Terroir 360 ha / Vineyard 55 ha). The cultivation of our vineyards is rigorously carried out according to organic principles and is controlled by the certifying authority ICEA.
