PODERE 29
The story of Podere 29 began with a mulberry tree, which was immortalized on the wine labels of the Premium line (Gelso means mulberry in Italian). Giuseppe Marrano, owner and founder of the estate, spent the long summer days as a child in the shade of the tree and enjoyed its sweet fruits. The 22 hectares of land are mainly cultivated with the late-ripening grape variety Nero di Troia, which originates from Northern Apulia. The traditional viticulture with modern cellar technology produces the deep red, full-bodied red wines typical of Puglia, always with a rich fruit. In addition to the viticulture the family runs a small guesthouse.
