Deep ruby red; fresh, powerful and versatile aromas of black fruits and graphite with light spicy and balsamic notes. On the palate complex, intense and elegant.
Vinification
Selection from a small 0.6 ha plot at 805 m.a.s.l. from vines up to 80 years old. Harvested at the end of September, fermented in 500 L wooden barrels and concrete tanks. Aging: 17 months in French barriques. Annual production: 2050 bottles!

Valdemonjas is a project of the Moyano family and star oenologist Luca D'Attoma. The sustainable winery is located at 750 metres above sea level in Pago Valdemonjas, in Quintanilla de Arriba (Valladolid), in the middle of the coveted gold mile of the Ribera del Duero DO. The 8 hectares are divided into small, very different plots and are cultivated according to biodynamic guidelines.
