Schiopetto

Tuesday, March 19, 2024

The Schiopetto winery, located in Capriva del Friuli, Italy, is characterized by the pioneering work of Mario Schiopetto in the production of quality white wine. Mario, born in 1930, revolutionized the world of modern white wine in Friuli from 1965 with his first "Tocai" and thus had a lasting impact on the image of Italian white wines. He was known for his innovative approach both in the vineyard and in the cellar and for his passion for constantly improving his methods by traveling and collaborating with experts. In 2014, the Rotolo family (also owners of the Volpe Pasini quality winery) acquired the Schiopetto estate and vowed to maintain Mario Schiopetto's traditional winemaking style. Which they have kept to this day.

His son Alessandro Rotolo, world sales manager of Schiopetto and Volpe Pasini, will be on hand to guide you through the tasting.
