Strong straw-yellow with green reflexes; Delightful fragrances in the nose of ripe fruits, herbs and a few almonds. Already pulls the water in the mouth together. On the palate the fruity notes of Friulano merge with the mineral notes of Riesling. A dream of a white wine, not opulent but long on the finish.

Fermented in steel tank at 16°C for 10-14 days. Aging for 9 months also takes place in steel tanks.

Doesn't take much. A real taste sensation with lobster.

Mario Schiopetto was born in 1930. He gains experience as a fireman and later as a truck driver. Among other things, he helps his father select wines for the family inn, which he takes over after the death of his parents. In 1965 he produces the first pure "Tocai". Thus begins the era of Friulian white wine, which transforms the reputation of Italian white wine. In the following years Mario became part of a group of Italian winegrowers who improved and modernised the production methods of Italian wine. To do this, he travels with Luigi Veronelli through Europe and the United States to understand other wines and meet local winemakers. In the 1980s, Mario is part of the elite of Italian winemakers and becomes a teacher and mentor to many young winemakers. The vineyards in the municipalities of Capriva, Zegla, Pradis and Oleis, were leased and upgraded by Mario in 1970 until they became his property in 1989. He took care of every detail and relied on the potential of the "Ponca soils" (typical Friulian marly soils with a high concentration of lime and clay). French elegance, German technology and Friulian grapes. These are the cornerstones of the Schiopetto style. To ignite the full elegance and origin of the wines, stainless steel is preferred in the production process. In 2014, the company was sold by Mario's three children to the Rotolo family, who continue Mario's mission.
