Medium ruby red with violet reflections. A youthful freshness with notes of red berries (ripe strawberries) and a subtle spice note (laurel, cloves) caress the nose. On the palate, this aroma is confirmed, complemented by subtle, ripe tannins and a firm, rounding acidity. A varietal Pinot Noir, a strong wine corresponding to the vintage, which will also give much pleasure in the years to come.
Vinification
Harvested by hand at the end of October. The berries are separated from the stems and macerated. The maceration time was 15 days in steel tanks. Maturation between 8 and 12 months in steel tanks.

Ever since the Komminoth family pressed their first own wine in Maienfeld in 1980, the enthusiasm for the traditional Pinot Noir and for ever new wine has grown from year to year. The tendency towards ever improving quality is a matter of course for them, and Komminoth is now one of the best addresses in the Bündner Herrschaft. Today about 3.7 hectares of vines are cultivated. The total area is spread over 15 parcels in and around Maienfeld and is situated in the best locations for top wines.
