Producer
LA TORNALE
Founded in 1950 by Vincent Favre, Cave la Tornale has developed organically over the years. To the first plots planted with Fendant, Pinot Noir and Humagne Rouge, new vineyards and growths have been added, always in strict respect of the constraints of the Chamoson terroir. Today, the winery has 8 hectares of its own vines and additionally buys the harvests of about 10 hectares from winegrowers in the communes of Chamoson and Ardon. Incidentally, the dialect word Tornallaz means Tournelle in French: a place where criminal affairs were judged and settled in the Middle Ages. In Chamoson, it denotes a vineyard parcel that is one of the best situated.
