Dry, heavy and velvety, an abundance of the most noble aromas, bound into a warm coat of wood, berries and tobacco; the finish is long. In short, this wine is a hidden jewel.

Producer
SERRACAVALLO
The Valle del Crati is a valley between the Appenines and the Pollino Mountains. A flourishing vegetation characterizes this location. The Serracavallo winery owns 55 hectares of land at an altitude of 600 metres. Of the 30 hectares of vineyards intended for wine growing, 15 hectares are now in use. The orientation of the vineyards towards the sea and the great differences in temperature between day and night contribute to the exceptional quality of the grapes. To improve the wines, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Riesling have been planted alongside the local variety Magliocco. Thanks to the eager efforts of Demetrio Stancati, since the 2012 vintage the wines have been bottled under the newly created appellation - Terre di Cosenza DOP.
