Ancellotta
An Italian red wine grape variety that is often used in blends for Lambrusco thanks to its strong color and can account for up to 15%. Its abilities are also appreciated in wines that are actually "single varietal", with a pale color (e.g. Sangiovese), where it is used in small percentages to give them a deeper and richer color.
