Ancellotta

An Italian red wine grape variety, which is often used in blends for Lambrusco thanks to its strong colour and can account for up to 15%. Its ability is also appreciated in wines that are actually "varietal", with pale colour (e.g. Sangiovese), where it is used in small percentages to give them a deeper and richer colour.
