Tenute Gregu
Between the hilly landscapes of Telti and Calangianus, there are 30 hectares of vines on which Cannonau and Vermentino are cultivated. The Gregu family has been anchored in this north-eastern part of Sardinia for generations. They own two vineyards in the only DOCG zone in Sardinia, the DOCG Vermentino di Gallura. For the Rosato Lemár, the grapes are harvested by hand early in the morning from 4 a.m. to 9 a.m. in small boxes of 10 kg each. They are then immediately placed in a refrigerated container to bring the core temperature below 7°C. This prevents spontaneous fermentation. This prevents spontaneous fermentation on the grapes and their oxidation. In the cantina, the grapes are sorted out from unclean and unripe grapes on a selection table. A process that is extremely rare in rosé production.
