Tenute Gregu
Between the hills of Telti and Calangianus there are 30 hectares of vineyards where Cannonau and Vermentino are cultivated. In this north-eastern part of Sardinia, the Gregu family has been rooted for generations. In the only DOCG zone in Sardinia, the DOCG Vermentino di Gallura, they own two vineyards. For the Rosato Lemár, the grapes are harvested by hand early in the morning from 4 am to 9 am in small boxes of 10 kg each. They are then immediately placed in a refrigerated container to bring the core temperature below 7°C. This prevents spontaneous fermentation on the grapes and their oxidation. In the Cantina the grapes are sorted out on a selection table of unclean and unripe grapes. A process that is extremely rare in the rosé production.
