Producer
LUNAE
Paolo Bosoni was born into a family with a long agricultural tradition. When asked today why he became a winemaker, he answers that he was born on 25 September during the grape harvest and grew up with bread, wine and oil. In 1966, when he inherited the family farm and decided to focus mainly on viticulture, he founded Cantina Lunae. For the name he was inspired by the town of Luni, an ancient Etruscan and Greek port dedicated to Selene, goddess of the moon. The vineyards of Tenuta Lunae extend from the plain south of the river Magra to the Apuan Alps in the province of La Spezia, on the border between Liguria and Tuscany. The wine cellar specialises in local grape varieties, in the case of the white Vermentino, and, in addition to Sangiovese, Pollera Nera in the red. The Vermentino Colli di Luni Etichetta Nera DOC, for the seventh year in a row Gambero Rosso has received the highest award 3 Bicchieri!
