Producer
CASTELLO DEGLI ANGELI
The winery, which belongs to the impressive Castello degli Angeli, was the big surprise for us at Vinitaly 2017. Situated 60 km northeast of Milan, the Castello degli Angeli is already visible from afar when approaching. The foundation stone for the winery was laid in 1996 by Mauro Taiarioli and the oenologist Rainer Zierock. Today, the (only) 1.8 hectares of vineyards are the realm of Fabio Bigolin, the current oenologist. Only 7000 bottles of wine make up the total annual production! The individual vineyards with a gradient of up to 45% are all located around the Castello. A real Trouvaille from Bergamo.
