Notes
Medium-deep pink color. Fresh and fruity on the nose, with aromas of raspberry, candied orange peel and licorice, leading to spicy, peppery notes. Lively and intense notes of raspberry on the palate. There are also spices, bitter orange and tobacco notes. It is dry, with a very fine perlage and a delicate red fruit character. Long and fresh finish.
Producer
CATTIER
The history of the Cattier family begins in 1625 in Chigny-les-Roses, where they planted vines. Since then, the winery has been passed down through 12 generations. Alexandre Cattier is now the thirteenth descendant to work the vines and make his own champagne. Under the guidance of Jean-Jacques Cattier, the brand has evolved through hard work and passion. Most of Cattier's cellars are located below the family estate in Rilly-la-Montagne. They are over 150 years old and provide ideal conditions for bottle aging. With 119 steps on one side and 136 on the other, these cellars are among the deepest in Champagne. They were excavated on three levels with different vault styles: Gothic, Romanesque and Renaissance. Our Brut Premier Cru ages there for over four years, even though the regulations only require 15 months. Our highest quality bottles even require over eight years to develop their unique flavors.
