Producer
LUIS PEREZ
At the beginning, the project Bodegas Luis Pérez was based on the adaptation of international grape varieties to the soils of Jerez and its unique geographical location, being the southernmost vineyard in Europe. But with the takeover of the winery by Willy Perez, son of Luis Pérez, it is now the native grape varieties of Tintilla and Palomino that will express the potential of the still wines of Cadiz. The vineyards are distributed among the great historic pagos of Jerez such as Macharnudo, Balbaina and Carrascal. As for the sherries, Bodegas Luis Perez produces only unfortified vintage sherries from the El Corregidor site in the Pago de Carrascal. Cadiz is not only sherry. Historically, these areas were dedicated to the production of still wines and there was a great diversity of grape varieties until the sherry boom made them disappear. Bodegas Luis Perez aims to bring to the glass the character of Cadiz, with its breezes and albariza, through tintilla and palomino.
