Notes
This wine is a true expression of the terroir, characterized by elegance and depth, without bitterness. Its aromatic personality is free of sensory defects. With a straw yellow color and golden reflections, it reveals aromas of acacia flowers, yellow plums, melon and hints of vanilla. On the palate it presents itself concentrated and full-bodied, but with good freshness. The finish is long and persistent
Vinification
This wine is carefully destemmed and crushed, followed by a 48-hour cold maceration at 8°C. The alcoholic fermentation begins in steel tanks and ends in ceramic amphorae and tonneaux. Malolactic fermentation is not carried out. The wine ages for 15 months on fine lees in 500l French oak barrels and 400l ceramic amphorae, with frequent bâtonnages. After a rest period of 4 months in bottle, a stylish wine is obtained.
Accompanying
Is an excellent companion to fine dishes. It goes particularly well with fish dishes, white meats and creamy cheeses. Thanks to its freshness and depth, it can also be enjoyed solo to appreciate its full aromatic complexity.
Producer
MURA MURA
A wonderful discovery at Vinitaly 2022, Guido Martinetti and Federico Grom, founders of the Gelati multi-company Grom, after selling their ice cream empire to Unilever, bought 30ha of land in Barbaresco, 10ha of which are planted with vines. There they produce today high-quality Barbarescos from single vineyards, which meet the highest standards. Other wines such as Barbera d'Asti or excellent Piemonte DOC complete the range.
