Dark garnet red; complex bouquet. Aromas of black fruits, plums, blueberries and a light chocolate note. Powerful, concentrated palate with silky and elegant tannins. Long and persistent finish.
Vinification
Matured for 7 months in new French oak barrels.

Ribafreixo, founded in 2007 by Mario Pinheiro and Nuno Bico, is located in Vidigueira in the heart of the Alentejo, where wine has been cultivated for centuries. The local climate is shaped by the mountain massifs of the Serra de Mendro and offers optimal conditions for olive groves and vineyards. The modern winery was built in 2012 and connected to the local water system, which is supplied by the Alqueva dam. Only Portuguese grape varieties were planted and the cultivation and vinification is vegan.
