Very dark garnet red; Charming bouquet with fresh aromas of berries and dark fruits. Notes of liquorice, coffee with balsamic nuances. In the mouth full-bodied, complex and silky, with fine tannins and a grandiose finish.
Vinification
Ageing: 18 months in new French oak barrels and 26 months in bottle. Annual production of 3'804 bottles

Ribafreixo, founded in 2007 by Mario Pinheiro and Nuno Bico, is located in Vidigueira in the heart of the Alentejo, where wine has been cultivated for centuries. The local climate is shaped by the mountain massifs of the Serra de Mendro and offers optimal conditions for olive groves and vineyards. The modern winery was built in 2012 and connected to the local water system, which is supplied by the Alqueva dam. Only Portuguese grape varieties were planted and the cultivation and vinification is vegan.
