Notes
Pronounced aromas of blackberry, wild strawberry, chocolate, marzipan, vanilla and smoke. A very pleasant melting texture, mild velvety tannins on the palate and a spicy, long finish harmoniously round off this full-bodied wine.
Vinification
After a long cold period of up to two weeks before fermentation, the Réserve gains aroma, fullness and structure. It then matures for several months in small French oak barrels, the barriques, to become an opulent wine.
Accompanying
Stews, roast meat, turkey and grilled vegetables.
Producer
BICKGUT
Florian and Michael Wanner are the third generation to run the Bickgut estate near Würenlos. Their vineyard: a sun-drenched south-facing slope with mineral-rich soils. A small patch, grown for great wines. Their ambition is correspondingly great - a tradition at Wanners. Their aim is to produce top wines from Aargau. They know that this requires investment, a lot of time and immense patience. And one thing above all: respect for the course of nature. This passion unites them anew every day with their select team.
