On the palate black olives, tobacco and dark berries with a present acidity. The light minerality makes the Cannonau fresher on the finish than the nose would suggest. An authentic Cannonau from 80 year old vines.
Vinification
Fermentation on the skins in small steel tanks for a period of about 20 days. Aging: 24 Mt. in barriques and 8 Mt. in bottle Production: 3'333 bottles.

South of the world-famous holiday resorts of Sardinia, lies the Atha Ruja winery, about 6 km in the hinterland of Dorgali. It was founded by the married couple Pietro Pittalis and Annita Salis in the 90s.
