Notes
This is a wine with a strong, slightly bitter, tobacco-like aroma, showing ripe black and a little red berries with plum notes as well as a hint of bacon, spicy tones and a hint of dried flowers. The taste is clear, firm, quite juicy and ripe, with a present, rather fine tannin, a persistent flavor, some spice, smoky nuances, herbs in the background and a little salt. The wine has power, but also cooling elements, cedary tones, is still young, quite complex and rather compact. The finish is very good, firm, tart-juicy and spicy.

Producer
LA RASINA
The winery was founded in the 70's by Santi Mantengoli. But it was only with the arrival of his son Marco Mantengoli in 1997 that the winery took off. Marco is a trained oenologist and knows excellently how to bring his new ideas and modern vinification to the winery. La Rasina has now grown to a size of 45 hectares. Of these, 11.5 hectares are planted with vines and 4 hectares with olive trees. Around 15,000 bottles of Rosso di Montalcino and 30,000 bottles of Brunello are vinified annually.
