Molise
"Molise is an archaic corner of Italy with much to explore. » Vergani family
Molise is one of the smaller and less known growing areas in Italy. The Weinviertel is relatively young and belonged to the neighbouring region of Abruzzo until the 1960s. It is from there that the winegrowers introduced the leaders: among the red wines Montepulciano d'Abruzzo and among the white wines Trebbiana d'Abruzzo. Aglianico, Fiano and Greco di Tufo are also renowned. A big surprise for us is the rare grape variety Tintilia del Molise.
