Talenti

In the south of Montalcino, near the medieval village of S. Angelo in Colle, lies Pian di Conte. A beautiful old building and the seat of the renowned Azienda Agricola Talenti. The winery was founded in 1980. The estate has 27 hectares of land, 11 of which are vineyards. Pierluigi Talenti was known for the vinification of expressive wines full of character. After his death, his son and grandson stepped into his footsteps, assisted by the renowned oenologist Ferrini. The vines grow on stony soils with medium structure and a particularly favourable microclimate at an altitude of 200-400 m.a.s.l. Vinification takes place in stainless steel vats, and barrels of Allier and Slavonian oak are available for ageing.
