Villa de Varda

The activity of the Varda family began at the beginning of the 16th century in the village of Mezzolombardo, in the Trento area, and over the years has been linked to the most important events in Trentino's history. In 1678, Leopold the 1st, Emperor of Austria, Bohemia and Hungary, granted Giovanni Battista de Varda, grappa producer and owner of vineyards and wine cellars, the title of nobility. Michele Dolzan began his research and training in the art of distillation in the same cellars at the beginning of the 18th century. This proud heritage is continued today by Luigi Dolzan.
