Every year you can meet Squadra Vergani at Vinitaly in Verona - the most important fair for Italian wines. New vintages of existing producers are tasted, but also new wines and potential partners are sought. Our range is never complete, it always remains changing and dynamic, just like us. Ecco. Our Presidente, Reto Vergani, got a tip. And he could not withhold it from us. So the Vergani delegation orderly also visited the stand of the aforementioned Barolo producer - with mixed feelings. After the tasting, however, our mouths were open. Boroli. A direct hit!

"Boroli was a bull's eye for us."
Gianni Vergani

At Boroli it all began in the 1990s. Silvano and Elena Boroli founded the eponymous winery in Castiglione Falletto, in the eastern part of the Barolo area. In 2000 Achille joined the company and today it is run by the second generation. In the house of Boroli, they are fully committed to quality. This is also evident in their own restaurant. Within a very short time, it has earned a Michelin star. Boroli: A sensational discovery for us.

In addition to the basic Barolo, Boroli's portfolio also includes three single-vineyard Baroli: Cerequio, Villero and Brunella. Brunella is a monopollage. This means that only Boroli maintains vines on this vineyard. Quality without compromise. This is the credo Boroli follows in winemaking. Their wines are terroir-based and can be classified as rather traditional in style. They are lean and mineral wines that wonderfully reflect the character of the Nebbiolo grapes. Already they give pleasure to impatient connoisseurs - but we recommend aerating the wine in your decanter for a good hour.

However, those who store the wines for a few more years will definitely be rewarded.

"With Brunella, the winery even runs a monopollage."
Gianni Vergani
